Mark Giles: Lipstick on a pig

Om man som jag gillar musik och är intresserad av reklam, så är det naturligtvis Bingo! med en sång om reklam framförd i en video med gamla reklamfilmer. När jag hörde sången kom jag att tänka på en rappare från Singapore som hade en sång med refrängen:

Then we chop, chop, chop
Till we drop, drop, drop

Mark Giles har skrivit musiken till Lipstick on a pig, det är även han som sjunger och spelar gitarr. David Batterson har skrivit texten och var vänlig nog att sända över den så jag kan lägga in den här nedan.

Lipstick on a pig

Selling stuff is not so hard
They do it every day
Sending out their messages

Either small or something big

Now products sometimes have a flaw
Do not rank the best
So they need a little help
To stand out from the rest
I'm thinking maybe that's not bad
It's dreams that they do feed
Selling makes the world go 'round
And satisfies a need
